THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE. THE CHANGE. THE RESULT.

The challenge

Manual spreadsheets and email made inbound-call coordination difficult, while different field-adjuster systems complicated claims information exchange during a major disaster. The team needed adaptable interfaces around existing systems.

The change

The insurer used OutSystems for an inbound-caller application with operational dashboards and a separate interface accepting standardized claim-data files from field software. Role management connected access to the organization’s identity environment.

The outcome

The source describes better visibility of call volume, routing and abandonment, plus a way to reformat field claim information for backend processing. A later consolidated portal and other projects were completed but still awaiting go-live in that account, rather than confirmed production outcomes.

DIGITAL ALCHIMIA’S DELIVERY PERSPECTIVE

What could this approach unlock for your business?

The useful next step is to connect the story to your own operating reality. Here are the questions we would bring into that conversation.

01

Make the operational queue visible before adding another channel.

Call-volume information helps when supervisors can connect it to routing, staffing and unresolved work. Define those relationships and the exceptions requiring review. OutSystems specialists can reinforce dashboards and workflows while operations owners decide how to act on the information.

02

Treat an import file as an integration contract.

A shared file format still needs validation, error reporting and ownership for records that do not match. Agree how field and central teams will correct exceptions before relying on the interface in a crisis. That makes the delivery scope more concrete than assuming compatibility follows from accepting a file.
