THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE. THE CHANGE. THE RESULT.

The challenge

Handwritten reports placed the provider and a major client near their administrative capacity. Field observations were difficult to process quickly, and rigid existing software could not easily support a tailored service.

The change

Four specialist developers delivered the first OutSystems mobile application version in two months. The workflow connected field records, photos, shift reporting and client visibility, with offline support and integrations for operational information.

The outcome

The source reports administrative savings equivalent to four full-time roles, alongside broader client rollout and more current shared information. A later expansion toward a larger user base was underway at the time of writing rather than a confirmed count of active users.

DIGITAL ALCHIMIA’S DELIVERY PERSPECTIVE

What could this approach unlock for your business?

The useful next step is to connect the story to your own operating reality. Here are the questions we would bring into that conversation.

01

Design the field record for the next person who needs it.

An observation becomes useful when a supervisor or client can understand its context and follow-up requirement. Define the minimum evidence, offline behavior and review path with operational teams. OutSystems specialists can help connect capture and reporting while service owners decide how the information should guide action.

02

Keep customization separate from the shared operating foundation.

Different clients may need different patrol routines and reporting views without requiring separate applications for every contract. Identify configurable rules, access boundaries and common records before expanding rollout. That helps the delivery team add client-specific value while keeping support and maintenance responsibilities understandable.
