THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE. THE CHANGE. THE RESULT.

The challenge

A large manufacturing business needed applications for recruitment, laboratory analysis and marketing investment. Each department had different workflow and information requirements that called for more than one generic solution.

The change

The manufacturer used OutSystems across those needs. Two developers delivered an integrated chromatographic-analysis management system in six months, connecting information centralization, monitoring and reporting.

The outcome

The six-month laboratory delivery compared with an earlier twelve-month estimate. Separately, a careers website took four months and carried an estimated $50,000 saving, while a marketing-cost application had its own eleven-month delivery; those figures belong to different projects.

DIGITAL ALCHIMIA’S DELIVERY PERSPECTIVE

What could this approach unlock for your business?

The useful next step is to connect the story to your own operating reality. Here are the questions we would bring into that conversation.

01

Choose the workflow before choosing a portfolio headline.

Laboratory control, recruitment and marketing costs need different records and acceptance criteria. Select a bounded first application with engaged process owners, then identify reusable technical foundations. OutSystems professionals can support the delivery team without flattening those business differences into a single generic process.

02

Keep each business case attached to its own project.

A delivery estimate, a reported saving and a department’s operating improvement are different measures. Agree which application each belongs to and how it will be reviewed after launch. That gives the next investment discussion a clearer basis than combining unrelated project results into one return.
