THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE. THE CHANGE. THE RESULT.

The challenge

A complex technology estate built through successive acquisitions slowed new products, channels and customer experiences. The bank needed a more adaptable architecture and a business-wide delivery approach.

The change

A three-year OutSystems transformation program established shared integration, workflow and channel capabilities. The source describes forty-seven initiatives and fourteen new solutions, with reusable identity, onboarding and communication services.

The outcome

By early 2020, the source reports replacement of 70% of the processes in the bank’s legacy core systems. The program supported digital credit journeys and partner channels; some additional dealer and recovery solutions were still forthcoming when the story was written.

DIGITAL ALCHIMIA’S DELIVERY PERSPECTIVE

What could this approach unlock for your business?

The useful next step is to connect the story to your own operating reality. Here are the questions we would bring into that conversation.

01

Modernize a reusable capability, then connect the next journey.

Identity, document handling and workflow often recur across lending channels. Define service ownership and integration contracts so a new channel can reuse those capabilities safely. OutSystems specialists can reinforce delivery while architecture and process owners decide the boundaries of each modernization step.

02

Track process migration as a distinct program measure.

A percentage of processes replaced is different from a percentage of systems retired or customers migrated. Agree the unit of measurement before reporting progress. Pair it with operational acceptance and customer-journey measures so the roadmap reflects both technical change and the service becoming available.
