THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE. THE CHANGE. THE RESULT.

The challenge

An older interface layered over a core insurance system was difficult for agents to learn and scattered information across screens. The experience made recruiting and supporting agents harder.

The change

The insurer used OutSystems to create a new agent portal and mobile applications, connecting customer, policy, claim and receipt information with quoting and authorization workflows. Business participation and senior sponsorship supported the delivery approach.

The outcome

The main source narrative reports the first portal debut after four months, followed by monthly releases. Agents gained a consolidated view of their work and access to twenty non-life quoting tools; the source describes increased new-policy business without a numeric uplift.

DIGITAL ALCHIMIA’S DELIVERY PERSPECTIVE

What could this approach unlock for your business?

The useful next step is to connect the story to your own operating reality. Here are the questions we would bring into that conversation.

01

Organize the experience around an agent’s next task.

A consolidated customer view becomes useful when it leads naturally to a quote, a claim update or an authorization. Map those transitions with agents instead of copying the old screen structure. OutSystems professionals can help connect the workflow while preserving the rules held in the core systems.

02

Reserve business participation before committing the roadmap.

A portal cannot become easier to use through technical delivery alone. Identify the business people needed for decisions, testing and acceptance, and agree their availability with sponsors. Frequent releases work better when the team can obtain timely feedback on actual agent tasks.
