THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE. THE CHANGE. THE RESULT.
Last-minute absences could require lengthy calls to find a suitable available worker. Managers needed a practical mobile experience connected to scheduling information and existing workforce processes.
The provider and a specialist partner built an OutSystems assistant that presents a ranked candidate shortlist using availability, location and relevant experience. It reused existing application logic and connected agent capabilities; the manager still chooses whom to contact.
The source reports delivery in two weeks and potential savings of up to thirty minutes per planner per week. The saving is presented as something the solution could achieve, not a measured result, and proposed extensions to new-contract staffing remained future ideas.

DIGITAL ALCHIMIA’S DELIVERY PERSPECTIVE
The useful next step is to connect the story to your own operating reality. Here are the questions we would bring into that conversation.
01
A shortlist needs current scheduling information and understandable reasons for inclusion. Define which records it uses, how stale information is handled and how the manager reviews the result. OutSystems specialists can reinforce the workflow while staffing decisions remain with the responsible people.
02
An early delivery proves that a workflow can be assembled, not that every projected benefit is achieved. Measure planner effort, unsuccessful contacts and exception handling in actual use. Those observations help scope the next application phase and the specialist capacity it needs without turning a potential saving into a promise.
